Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR and some part of north India like Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttar Pradesh on Friday night
The earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck near Amritsar with tremors felt as far as Delhi, prompting people to rush out of their houses. The epicenter of the earthquake was 21km from Amritsar in Punjab.
