DRDO is organizing the second innovation contest ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ on the 5th death anniversary of former President and DRDO Chief Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
The scheme is to encourage individuals & startups for innovation in defence and aerospace technologies in the country to effectuate the clarion call of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Objectives
To unearth disruptive ideas and concepts in emerging technologies identified by DRDO for enhancing defence capabilities.

About Dare to Dream 2.0
The ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ is an open challenge to promote indigenous capabilities in niche defence echosystem in the country.
The winners will be decided after due evaluation by an expert committee. Award money of Rs 10 lakh for startup and Rs five lakh for individual category, will be given to the winners.

Preamble
Science and Technology shouldn’t be confined in one department or laboratory, where good ideas may evolve but are often stuck in silos.
While it is critical to have teams in place, whose job is to focus on science, technology and engineering, innovation needs to be a process and culture cultivated across the country.
Everyone needs to contribute to it, asking themselves: What can I improve? How can I do it better? Dreaming is essential to make meaning of life, find your inner voice, truly grow up, and show the next generation how to dream. One must boldly follow his/her dreams.
Make space and time for your dreams, map and track your competencies, know your beliefs, build on your strengths, fine-tune those dreams and become the hero of your story.
