In Rajasthan, the corona is becoming out of control. 3970 new infected persons have been found in the state within 24 hours on Saturday. 12 patients lost their lives. Moreover, the vaccine stock is also on the verge of extinction. Vaccination stopped at 350 vaccination centres in Jaipur on Saturday. Vaccination was taking place at more than 500 centres in the city earlier. Now, the number of centres has come down to 150.
Several centres like Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Bharatpur and Karauli have run out of vaccine. About 5 lakh doses of vaccine are left across Rajasthan. It may take another day or two for the vaccine to arrive. In such a situation, the state has only vaccine stock till date as about 4 to 5 lakh people are being vaccinated every day across the state.
Recovery rate drops by 4% in 9 days, increases two and a half times The
recovery rate is also coming down sharply due to increase in the number of corona cases in the active case state. The recovery rate has fallen by about 4 per cent in the last 9 days. The recovery rate in Rajasthan as on March 31 was 96.35 per cent, which has now fallen to 92.38. The number of active cases in the state increased more than two and a half times. On March 31, there were 8663 active cases in the state, which increased to 24,000.
Demand for Remdesivir injection increases
20 days ago The demand for this injection has now increased rapidly in Rajasthan, which gave a consignment of life saving injection Remdesivir to the neighbouring state of Punjab. The health department has sent a demand to the pharmaceutical companies for supply of remdesivir injection. According to sources, there are about 20,000 injection doses in the state. Earlier, the government had sent a dose of about 10,000 injections to Punjab on March 21 to prevent expiry.
More stringent than today, markets
to be closed from 7 pm Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had held a meeting of the task force on covid management on Friday evening. It had expressed concern over the increasing number of cases in the state. In the meeting, experts from the medical department had talked about extending the night curfew time and increasing the strictness through the police. Deciding this, night curfew imposed in 9 cities of the state including Jaipur from Saturday was reduced from 8 pm to 6 am instead of 10 pm to 5 am. Markets will start closing from 7 pm in the urban border of Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jodhpur, Kota and Aburod including Jaipur from today. In Udaipur, night curfew will come into effect from 6 pm.
More than 21,000 infected in 9 days, 80 killed
The graph of corona infected people in the state is going up rapidly. Within the first 9 days of April, 21, 138 infected cases of corona have been reported in Rajasthan, while 80 people have lost their lives so far. Instructions have been issued to increase contact tracing and check by creating micro cantonment zones in over-infected areas. Health department officials said that at present 55,000 people are being screened daily in the state which will now be increased to 1 lakh in the next one to one and a half weeks.
Apart from Jaipur, Jodhpur, udaipur, Kota, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Alwar and Ajmer are the 10 cities in the
state which have become hotspots. Out of 33 districts in the state, more than 72 per cent of these 10 districts reported infected cases on Friday. A total of 2888 patients have been found in all these districts.
