Government of India bans 43 new apps, including 5 from Alibaba

The Government of India is focused to protect the national interest and sovereignty of the citizens. GoI has now banned another 43 Chinese apps from India, including 5 apps from the Alibaba that are AliSuppliers Mobile App, Alibaba Workbench, AliExpress – Smarter Shopping, Better Living & Alipay Cashier.

This move follows the ban on 59 Chinese apps from the country. “This action was taken based on the inputs regarding these apps for engaging in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order”, the Centre said in an official statement.
