The India Meteorological Department’s September 18 morning bulletin forecasts isolated heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 40–50 kmph, with gusts up to 60 kmph.
The bulletin also says conditions are becoming favourable for the southwest monsoon to withdraw from some parts of West Rajasthan around September 19. This indicates a weather transition and is not a forecast of uniform rainfall or withdrawal across the entire state.
The outlook was independently reported by India Today in a September 18 update.
