PM Modi and UAE President discuss West Asia crisis and deeper bilateral cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by phone with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on September 18, discussing developments in West Asia and ways to strengthen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

According to the official PMO account, the leaders discussed regional peace, security and stability and expanding cooperation in energy, defence, technology, investment and health. The UAE president also conveyed birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi and congratulated India on its BRICS presidency.

The call was reported the same day by the Press Information Bureau and Hindustan Times.
