Two women who underwent caesarean sections at the District Women’s Hospital in Bundi died at separate private hospitals in Kota after complications, according to The Hindu, published at 01:11 IST on September 19. The women were admitted on September 15, the report said.
The Rajasthan Medical and Health Department temporarily sealed the hospital’s operating theatre and began infection-control measures, sampling and culture testing. A three-member inquiry committee headed by the Bundi Sub-Divisional Magistrate has been appointed. ThePrint/PTI independently reported the deaths, the sealing of the OT and the inquiry.
