Government plans to start a sea-plane service in the Delhi Yamuna riverfront which will connect to Ayodhya. The waterways minister has shown interest in the sea-plane service which is named Sagarmala Seaplane Service.
The Seaplane service will connect few regions which include- Delhi Yamuna riverfront, Tehri, Mumbai to Shirdi, Uttrakhand to Chandigarh, and some parts of Andaman and Nicobar.
The waterways minister has decided to start the work from 22nd January 2021. In this project, a special service vehicle(SPV) will be involved in the development of waterways infrastructures such as floating Jetties, seaplane parking service, Waiting room, security, and safety equipment.
