The ward-reservation lottery for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections that Udaipur officials had scheduled for September 17 at 11:00 a.m. has been postponed.
Dainik Bhaskar reported that Rajasthan’s Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department deferred the September 17–18 lotteries after district collectors cited clashes with municipal chairperson and vice-chairperson election duties. A fresh date will be considered after the municipal-election process ends.
