UDAIPUR: In major relief for daily commuters, office-goers, students, and interstate travelers, the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) Udaipur Depot has officially released a revised operational timetable and resumed bus services connecting Udaipur to Nimbahera, Neemuch, Ratlam, and Jhalawar from the Udiapole Central Bus Stand. The move restores critical public transit links between Southern Rajasthan, Hadoti, and Western Madhya Pradesh.
Key Highlights: RSRTC Udaipur Depot has resumed direct bus services from Udiapole Central Bus Stand to Nimbahera, Neemuch, Ratlam, and Jhalawar. A direct Udaipur–Ratlam service will depart daily at 1:30 PM, reaching Ratlam at 8:30 PM, with the return trip starting at 6:25 AM. In addition, 8 buses have been deployed on the Nimbahera–Neemuch sector in coordination with the Dungarpur depot.
Addressing longstanding passenger demand, RSRTC has introduced a dedicated long-distance bus service between the City of Lakes and the railway junction city of Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh). The bus links key industrial, agricultural, and commercial towns across Chittorgarh district and the MP border belt.
| Route / Direction | Departure Time | Arrival Time | Journey Duration | Major En Route Stops |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Udaipur to Ratlam | 01:30 PM (Udiapole) | 08:30 PM (Ratlam) | ~7 Hours | Mangalwad, Nimbahera, Neemuch |
| Ratlam to Udaipur | 06:25 AM (Ratlam) | 02:45 PM (Udiapole) | ~8 Hours 20 Mins | Neemuch, Nimbahera, Mangalwad |
The total round-trip journey spans more than 15 hours of operational service. Due to regional traffic conditions and scheduled passenger halts, the return journey from Ratlam takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes longer than the outbound leg.
According to Hardeep Singh Rao, Depot Manager of RSRTC Udaipur Depot, the corporation took action following directives from the state headquarters to restart buses on routes that had been temporarily suspended or lacked adequate state transport options.
To ensure robust frequency on the Nimbahera–Neemuch sector, a total of 8 buses have been pressed into service through an inter-depot coordination model combining fleets from both Udaipur Depot and Dungarpur Depot. This ensures consistent headway throughout the day, preventing overcharging by private operators and providing reliable government transport for daily commuters traveling between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Alongside Western MP routes, the Udaipur Depot has also regularized departures connecting Udaipur directly to Jhalawar. Travelers moving towards Kota, Jhalawar, and the broader Hadoti division can now board scheduled Roadways services directly from the Udiapole Central Bus Stand without having to switch buses at intermediate stops.
