Bird Flu: Government asks all states to be prepared

The Government has reported Bird flu in some of the states which include Kerala, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh so far. But the center has advised to be prepared eventually.

Ministers have advised all the states to ensure sufficient stock of PPE kits and tools required for culling operations. States have asked to spread awareness among people to use poultry products after following all cooking/boiling measures.

A meeting held in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying with the states to understand the outbreak of bird flu. Also, they have suggested measures for controlling the disease.

“Awareness among the poultry farmers and the general about the disease is really important. States have asked to make proper awareness about the consequences so that there should be less usage of poultry usage among the public”.
