Rajasthan civic-poll repolling begins at 10 booths after EVM glitches

Repolling began on September 16 at booths across nine wards in four Rajasthan urban local bodies—Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Suket—after the State Election Commission withheld results affected by EVM technical problems.

ANI reported that voting was under way at five Jaipur booths in Wards 9, 18, 25 and 34 and was scheduled to continue until 6:00 p.m. The wider repoll covers 10 booths, with counting scheduled for September 17 from 8:00 a.m.

The State Election Commission said the affected unreadable votes exceeded the winning margins in the relevant contests. The copy does not speculate on the final winners.
