Most Rev. Devprasad Ganawa, SVD, Bishop of Udaipur, died on Sunday, October 4, at age 74 after a reported cardiac arrest, according to the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI).
CCBI said he died at 11:45 a.m. at St Teresa’s Hospital in Udaipur after experiencing uneasiness and chest pain at the Bishop’s House. Daijiworld independently carried the same details in a report published at 3:13 p.m. on October 4.
Ganawa served as Bishop of Udaipur from 2012 until his death. The CCBI said his funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Cathedral, Udaipur.
