India extends UK flight ban till Jan7

Previously India has extended the flight ban till December 31. But, now it is extended to Jan7 due to the new coronavirus strain in the UK.

Civil aviation minister Hardeep Sigh puri says “Decision has been taken to ban the flights from the UK till January 7, 2021. He also states that strict regulations will be made after that.

The government may also mandate proper tests for the people coming from the UK after January 7.

On 21st December, India decided to seal off all the flights from the UK from December 23 to December 31. The minister also said that passengers who landed on 21 and 22 December were made to take the test. And, the people who were negative were allowed to go home and rest all were properly isolated.
